Suppose that you measure a pen to be 10.5cm long. Convert this to meters.

OpenStudy (lilg132):

10.5 x10-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10.5cm x 1meter/10^-2 cm

OpenStudy (lilg132):

0.105 metres

OpenStudy (lilg132):

*meters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is how i converted it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10.5cm x 1meter/10^-2 cm

OpenStudy (lilg132):

easier way move it two places to the right you have it in meters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u mean to the left?

OpenStudy (lilg132):

well if your moving the decimal point, then yes move the decimal point two places to the left. If your letting the decimal point stay where it is then move the numbers two places to the right whichever way you look at it
