A boy bats a baseball with a certain initial velocity at an angle of 27.0o above the horizontal. In 1.60 s, the ball reaches its highest point in the trajectory. What is the initial velocity of the ball?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no much information for me to solve this...is really6 crazy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this a projectile problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any idea?

OpenStudy (xishem):

Just treat the x positions, velocities, and accelerations as separate from the y positions, velocities, and accelerations, and you can use the standard 2D equations for constant acceleration.

i did vf= vi-gt where vf=0 then i got 15.68 as my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):
