if you want it factorised multiply the coefficient of x^2 by the constant 2 x 21 = 42 find the factors of 42 that add to 17...... 14, 3 then \[((2x + 14)(2x+3))/2 = (2(x +7)(2x+3))/2 = (x+7)(2x+3)\]
