-2,4,-8,16,---,---,--- Ok im getting the whole pattern thing, but im still confused on what to multiply to find the missing number.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply each term by -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can get the term to multiply if you take the quotient of the first term and the second term, or the second and third etc, ie 4/-2 = -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Divide any of the term with its previous term. For example -8/4 = -2 Now, multiply -2 with the last term to get the next term.
