I think i am working this problem wrong: 6y-5(3y-4)=10, I got the answer of 10/9

Roots: 1.869498427, 0.2971682389 Discriminant turns out to be 801. Bit Peculiar. Are you sure that the question is correct? :)
The RHS should be 0 for a normal answer. if I consider RHS 0, the answers are 4/3 & 5/6.

this is a linear equation, not quadratic. how do u find 2 roots?
Oh I mistook. I multiplied (6y-5) & (3y-4). My Bad. Oops. 10/9 is correct. :)
y = 10/9 is correct.
