Some CO2 is removed from the equilibrium system shown below Which of the following statements is true when the equilibrium responds to this stress CO(NH2)2 (g)+ H2O (g) + 45kJ <-> CO2 (g) + 2NH3 a, heat energy is decreased as the equilibrium shifts to replace the removed CO2 b, the quantity of NH3 will rise twice as much as CO2

OpenStudy (xishem):

If an amount of gas is removed from an equilibrium system, the heat energy is unaffected. If CO_2 gas were to be removed, the system would have to shift left-to-right to restore the CO_2. In doing this, the quantity of NH_3 would increase twice as fast, given that there are 2mols of it per every mol of CO_2 gas. B.
