What is water gas and how is it prepared?

water gas is a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen
it is prepared by burning coke with steam at high temperature
from which hydrogen can be synthesized !!!!

\[C+H _{2}O\] is process, in which steam is being passed over a burning coke.
\[CO+H _{2}\] is a mixture which is known as Water Gas.
