they lost the water,,turgidity,,so they start wilting

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they prevent water by lessing its surfacea area so they wilt by which water lost will be less

OpenStudy (anonymous):

taha they are not wilt due to turgidity as turgid means swallow i think by mistake u used wrong term if u get time plz correct ur statement

OpenStudy (shayaan_mustafa):

the root pressure which exists in root hair cell in plants exerts a pressure on the plant cell to loss the water by transpiration and loss of water by evaporation. But in hot summer days stomata of plants are closed in order to conserve water, but this depends on some factors, light intensity, humidity, temperature and wind too. In hot summer day, two factors are most considerable, light intensity and high temperature, this cause plants to wilt. But Cactus does not wilt. Do you know why? It also has a reason, find out.
