The formula for final velocity of an object starting from zero and undergoing constant acceleration is v=1/2(a)(t^2) . What is the rate of acceleration if the car has a final velocity of 50 m/s after 5 seconds? The answer is four, but how did they get it?

\[a=\frac{2v}{t^2}=\frac{2(50m/s)}{5 s}=4 \frac{m}{s^2}\]
