hey know anything about federalist and antifederalists?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They are basically Democratic- Federalist and Antifederalist are republicans They both have different beliefs.

OpenStudy (alison123):

they have completely opposite believes. before the constitution was ratified Federalist were people who supported the constitution and wanted it to be ratified and anti federalist opposed it, but after the constitution was ratified Federalist were those who believed in "loose construction" so basically that means that the constitution has implied powers where as anti federalist were "strict construction" they believed ever word had in the constitution had to be followed exactly and there was no implied powers and you could not do anything the constitution did not specifically say. Some members of Federalist would be: George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, John Adams. Anti-feds: James Madison and Thomas Jefferson
