divide 1.22 X 10^6 cubic inches by 1.5 x 10^3 cubic inches per minute to find the time( minutes to fill the swimming pool. . simple arethmetic will do. just a matter of analysis. .

you can't multiply because u can't cancel the unit of measure of cubic inches. if you divide you can cancel it, and what will remain is (min) the unit of time.
to cahnge minutes to hours. divide the number of minutes by 60.
