I dont understand, could someone help me? Compare erythrocytes, leucocytes and thrombocytes with respect to: size, number per cubic mm and life span.

OpenStudy (blues):

The question is asking you about the similarities and differences between red blood cells (erythrocytes), white blood cell (leukocytes) and platelets (thrombocytes). Do you not understand what the question is asking you, or do you not understand the differences between the three kinds of cells?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand the question at all, let alone how to find the answer. my booklet doesnt mention any of this. im so confused.

OpenStudy (blues):

There are three kinds of cells in the blood: red blood cells (called erythrocytes), white blood cells (called leukocytes) and platelets (called thrombocytes). Are you clear on that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i know that part.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im just not sure how to do the comparison....

OpenStudy (blues):

I'd do the comparison by finding out the sizes of each kind of blood cell. Which one is biggest, which is smallest? Then I'd figure out the number of cells per volume unit in the blood (abundance) which is what the second part seems to ask. Then I'd find information on how long each different kind of cell lasts before it dies and is replaced by another...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay ill try to find the information. thanks you,.

OpenStudy (blues):

Wikipedia will be helpful, I think, if you look up each kind of cell. Good luck!
