how can we calculate the ripple factor for the capacitive filter and pi-filter in case of full-wave by using vp-p and input voltages.which one is more effective filter?

OpenStudy (shayaan_mustafa):

For Capacitor Filter in case of full wave rectifier, \[r=V _{r(pp)}/V _{DC}\]\[V _{r(pp)}\approx(1/fR _{L} C)(V _{p(rect)})\]\[V _{DC}\approx(1 - 1/2fR _{L} C)(V _{p(rect)})\] For π-Filter in case of full wave rectifier, \[r=(\sqrt{2})/(8\omega ^{3}LC _{1}C _{2}R _{L})\] Regards, Student of EE, Read my Profile. :D
