For Capacitor Filter in case of full wave rectifier,
$$r=V _{r(pp)}/V _{DC}$$$$V _{r(pp)}\approx(1/fR _{L} C)(V _{p(rect)})$$$$V _{DC}\approx(1 - 1/2fR _{L} C)(V _{p(rect)})$$


For π-Filter in case of full wave rectifier,
$$r=(\sqrt{2})/(8\omega ^{3}LC _{1}C _{2}R _{L})$$
