OpenStudy (anonymous):

you know it looks like \[y=a(x+3)^2-1\] and you also know if you replace x by -2 you get 0, so you can solve for "a"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in fact you just get \[a=1\] so this is \[y=(x-3)^2+1=(x+4)(x+2)=x^2+6x+8\]
