what is the relationship between sec(x) and tan(x)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Tan(X) = Sin(X)/Cos(X) Sec(X)=1/Cos(X) So, Tan(X) = Sin(X) x Sec(X)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What about \[\sec ^{2}(x) and \tan ^{2}(x)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean Tan squared x +1 = Sec squared x
