the guadalupe river is 2.50 X 10^3 miles long. the amazon river is 4.096 X 10^3 miles long. how many times longer is the amazon river than the guadalupe river?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Length of Amazon river= 4.096*10^3 miles. Length of Guadalupe river=2.50*10^3 miles. So we divide, in order to find out: 4.096*10^3/2.50*10^3 miles 1.6384 miles. Therefore, the Amazon river is 1.6384 times the Guadalupe river.
