Algebraically find the exact real zeros and state the multiplicity of each. f(x) = 2x^2+ 9x - 5 These really confuse me and I have a bunch of them to do so please explain it well!

1-2 and -5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve with quadratic formula.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's not how the example is shown, it like, factors it backwards.

OpenStudy (radar):

Or algebraically factor getting (x+5)(2x-1) x=-5 x= 1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was just about to type that radar.. haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just try and play around with factoring.. And appreciate the fact that you aren't in Calc2.. :/

OpenStudy (radar):

O.K. hope EvaMonster can do it both ways.

Thank you both!
