OpenStudy (precal):

You need to use complete the square this is an equation of a circle

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

2(x^2 +y^2 -4x +8y +16)=0 2(x(x-4)+(y+4)^2)=0 so i think this will be right sure

OpenStudy (precal):

the equation of a circle has x^2 and y^2 I do not believe you did it correctly

OpenStudy (precal):

One way to check is to expand your answer. Either way you should be able to identify the center of the circle and its radius. Since you have it equal to zero that would not be true (usually the circle has some type of radius) unless you are describing just a point
