((4k^2-3k-1)/(4k^2+9k+5))/((16k^2 - 1)/(4k^2 + 1k - 5))

\[(k-1) / (4k - 1)\]

You mind showing me how you factored?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure it'll take me a minute to type it. Hold on

Thanks very much.

(4k-1)(k+1) / (4x+5)(x+1) X (4k+5)(k-1) / (4k+1)(4k-1) I reciprocated the second expression in order to multiply both of them. Then cancel out appropriately. Problems like this is more knowing how to factor than anything else.

Yes, that is a problem for me...I need to see lots of different ways to do it. I think your first term should switch signs (4k+1)(k-1)
