The polynomial 2x^3y^4-7x^2y63 is what degree?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that supposed to be y^63 at the end?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if not, its 7, if so, its 65; you find the highest exponent in a term, x^3y^3, it is 6 because they are a single term so we add them together, but x^3 + y^3 would be 3 because they are two different terms
