Basically it is the way a computer system is physically structured. It includes the flow of data and the layout in theoretical terms the elements used to input, process, store and output that data.
Diagrams used to detail the flow can be very simple with only 2 or 3 essential elements ( CPU, memory, input/output) or more complex showing each step of data processing and movement.
