OpenStudy (anonymous):

the perimeter of a triangle is 51 cm. the lengths of its sides are consecutive ODD integers. find the lengths of all three sides.

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Let one side be x , then the other two would be x+2 and x+4 perimeter is the sum of all the three sides so\[x+x+2+x+4=51\] combining like terms we get \[3x+6=51\] subtract both sides by 6 \[3x=45\] divide both sides by 3 we get \[x=15\] so the sides are 15, 17 and 19
