We are learning about "systems of equations". How do you solve this system algebraically? y=x-1 & y=x+1

it doesn't have a solution ...you'll get 0=2 which is not possible so there's no solution. If you want the graphic way of solving this you will get two parallel lines, so there's no intersection, so no solution
