A rectangle and a triangle have equal areas. The length of the rectangle is 12 inches, and its width is 8 inches. If the base of the triangle is 32 inches, what is the length, in inches, of the altitude drawn to the base?

We know the area of a triangle to be (base*height)/2. And the area of a rectangle to be the length*width. This problem gives all of these variables except for 1 of them: the height of the triangle. If you set up an equality: \[l*w=(b*h)/2\] then you can insert all of the values you know. l=12 w=8 b=32 h=? Is this enough to finish the problem? Good luck! :)
