consider the following line x+7y=4y-4 rewrite in slope intercept form then find the equation, in slop-intercept form, for the line which is perpendicular to this line and passes through points (-8,13)

for slope-intercept solve for y (get y by itself on one side). Perpendicular lines have opp. reciprocal slopes. The slope of your line will be the number in front of the x once you get y by itself. So you take that number and flip it over and change its sign. then use that slope and point slope form to get an equation which can than be solved for y
