On a Cartesian plane, draw a vector diagram and calculate the displacement from (0, 3) to (7, -3)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

move it so one end is at 0,0 and find the length

OpenStudy (amistre64):

(0,3) (7,-3) -3 -3 ------------ (0,0) (7,-6) so this is a vector <7,-6>

OpenStudy (amistre64):

square add sqrt for length

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would I draw the vectors diagram though?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

plot the 2 points on an xy plane and draw an arrow between them

OpenStudy (amistre64):

since vectors are movable; i just moved it all down so that it started as 0,0 and becmae a position vector

OpenStudy (amistre64):

|dw:1328647231764:dw|

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if there are more points along the way that you have not shared; then its kinda hard to include them; but the displacement is the same

Is the graph, not to scale? are those points suppose to be at 7, -6?
