Evaluate expression.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2i^{124}-3i^{10}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What does i =?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it stands for...\[\sqrt{-1}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry I don't do Square Roots. :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Darn :/

OpenStudy (nenadmatematika):

first you must know that i^2=-1...so, you've got 2i^124=2*(i^2)^62=2*62=124 then 3*i^10=3*(i^2)^5=3*(-1)=-3 so the result is 124-(-3)=127

OpenStudy (nenadmatematika):

oh sorry I made the mistake in the begining 2*(i^2)^62=2*1=2 the other part is fine so the result is2-(-3)=5 sorry if you got confused :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh well thanks
