What is 5√x^4 ?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

is that 5th root of x^4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

x^4/5 is the simplest it gets.

I was ask for the exponents for example sqrt of x^2 the exponent would be 1 and cube root of x^3 the exponent would be one too...so 1+1 = 2 but i don't know what the would be...do i have to add x^4/5 and 2?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i don't get what you're asking...do you mean what must be the index so that x^4 will have an exponent of 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry I will draw it
