12x^2y^2 = 2y*2x*h I know how to do this all I want to know is that if we move the 2y to the other side does it become -2y/ instead of 2y*?

OpenStudy (cathyangs):

is this \[12x ^{2}y ^{2}=2y2xh\] or \[12x ^{2}y ^{2}=2y ^{2}x ^{h}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first one

OpenStudy (cathyangs):

...well you can simplify the right side.

OpenStudy (cathyangs):

and you can divide the entire thing to simply it even more...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but all i want to know is that when we move 2y* to the other side does it become negative or just change to division?

OpenStudy (cathyangs):

...move it to the other side? are you dividing both sides by 2y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so we only divide right, we don't change to negative right

OpenStudy (cathyangs):

yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright thanks!
