what is the sqrt13 to three decimal places.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can get my answer this far but how do you do it to three decimal places using a calculator?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

What does your calculator say?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

mine says 3.605551275

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know what to push on the calculator to figure it out lol im not much on using calculators

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Not all calculators are alike but on mine I have to enter 13 and then push the sqrt key so try that.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

on others you push the sqrt key first and then put in the 13 So if the first way doesn't work, try that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first way gave me an error and i did the square symbol and 13 earlier and it just give me sqrt13

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Then push enter or equals or something.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1328669170260:dw| thats what it gives me when i push =. I have no idea. this is the last part of my question and i cant get it

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Do you have a manual? Or if you don't and know the brand and model you could google it and find an answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a casio fx-3000es. its not one of the higher tech ones. ill try that and see. thanks.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

yw

OpenStudy (mertsj):

On my iPad, I have to push sqrt and it automatically opens a parenthesis. Then I enter the number, close the parenthesis and push enter.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your answer was right though it was 3.606 with the three decimal places

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill have to do another one lol

OpenStudy (mertsj):

How did you find out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when i get it wrong it tells me the right answer. but it only gives me three tries to figure it out

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Also there are free calculators online that you can download to your computer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now i have my answer as sqrt208 to find to three decimal places

OpenStudy (anonymous):

14.422?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

yep. How did you get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got aggravated and just started pushing keys on the calculator lolol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

should have paid attention to what i was pushing lol

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Doesn't your computer have a calculator on it? I have Windows XP and under "All Programs" Accessories, it has a calculator.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

If you did it once, you can do it again.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea but it dont have the square root and stuff

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Well then download a free scientific calculator .

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Do you have windows XP? Mine has a square root key. It says "sqrt"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

windows 7

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Well I don't know about that then but they shouldn't have downgraded the OS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i only have 3 left. ill figure them out later lol thanks for the help. have a good night.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

you too. Good night
