Jennifer, the manager of a fast-food restaurant, can choose one of 2 salary options. Option 1: $2000 a month Option 2: $500 a month plus $10 dollars per hour For what range of hours would option 2 pay more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2000-500=1500 so she has to make greater than 1500 on an hourly rate of 10/h 1500/10 150 hours a month technically for option 2 to pay more she would have to work anything over 150 hours a month

OpenStudy (mathhelp346):

why did u subtract

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay well. she is already making 500 dollars a month no matter what and she wants to be making over 2000 dollars a month so if you take the amount she's making on a monthly salary (500) away from the 2000 total she needs to make you are left with 1500, the amount she needs to make through wage pay (10 dollars / hour)

OpenStudy (mathhelp346):

ok
