Why does light bend on the interface of two media if the angle of incidence is 0 i.e if its normally incident?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You mean why does light not bend?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya..refraction only takes place if the ray is incident obliqule i.e at an angle..why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you see snell's law sin i / sin r= U. Then if i=0, r=0. If you want a more theoratical explanation, i dunno, wait till somebody gives you one i guess..
