The following equation determines the cost of having an event, C(p), in dollars, as a function of the number of people attending the event, p. C(p) = 250p + 1,500 If 300 is subtracted from the y-intercept of the equation to arrive at a new equation for calculating the cost of having an event, then which of the following is true? A. The cost per person will increase by 300 dollars. B. The fixed cost of the event will decrease by 300 dollars. C. The number of people attending the event will decrease by 300. D. The cost per person will decrease by 300 dolla
D. The cost per person will decrease by 300 dolla this is what i think and i have my reasons to say that ..
C(p) = 250p + 1,500 C(p) is the cost of the event and is y axis on the graph y intercept is 1500 this is decreased by 300 so its the fixed cost which is affected by the action so the correct answer is B.
