also a normal Text Editor like Notepad ++ can help you,, too.

If you're on Mac, I'd tell you to use TextMate. I love that app. (I use it for all the OpenStudy stuff I do.)

Shadowfiend and mattfeury would suggest vim, which is a good option as well.
