I feel lost because I think I suck at the chain rule and related rates. I just need a way to clarify basics, simply tricks and procedures.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

chain rule is something you should master because you will use it over and over and over again throughout your math career

you really just need to get u substitution down for the chain rule. you will use "chain rule" - u substitution in cal 2, cal 3 differential cal. Spend the time to really understand it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

related rates... eh.. just do enough so that you can do well on the test :0 you won't see that much optimization in the future, so don't fret about that.
