That deserves a medal after we get the real answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok fine put x = amount of brazil nuts, \[12 - x\] = amount of cashews total cost is therefore \[10x+8(12-x)=12\times 8.5\] solve for x

OpenStudy (istim):

Hey, I can't give 2 medals to the same person bro.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get \[x=3\] so three pounds of brazil nuts, and the rest cashews
