OpenStudy (rajeshkumar):

which is the best linux operating system for haking

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

BackTrack - Don't HACK!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please define in what context you use the word "hacking". there are different meanings around and depending on which you mean, there're different recommendations. In the Apple / Facebook meaning (create something in very little time and keep working on it until the users are engaged): you can use every distribution like ubuntu, debian, etc. if you mean it like hacking into other's networks or to rescue files from a broken environment: Damn Small Linux Live CD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe you probably shouldn't be asking this but, I'd recommend installing a custom made linux system for what kind of hacking your doing (i.e networks) just tell me what you need it for and I'll try to find you a link.

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

BackTrack Linux is the goto for most hacking purposes. It pre-includes a lot of utilities that are useful.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can also consider the Metasploitable OS, which is usually used for hacking practises. You can try different types of attacks against it from backtrack or other OS.
