Hey. Short question. Is it possible for an function to ONLY have ONE asymptote?

OpenStudy (jamesj):

Sure: \( f(x) = e^x \).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see, so e^x has the asymptote x=0. Alright thanks for the question. Did a similiar task and only got 1 asymptote and my friends was complaining on how only one asymptote could never exist.

OpenStudy (jamesj):

No, the asymptote is y = 0 as x --> -infinity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yea, :P right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks alot.

OpenStudy (jamesj):

sure
