Evaluate the function for the given input value. For f(x) = -2x, when x = 4 how would i solve this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x)=y x= 4 so substitute 4 for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

put that feller in that there function and you got yourself a nice little output. f[x]=-2x so at x=4 f[4]=-2(4)=??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understan :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just substitute 4 into x... so f(x)= -2(4)= -8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont divide?
