A local government had an employee reduction and lost 1/15 of its employees. If 308 of its employees were left after the reduction, how many employees were there originally?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you multiply 308 time (1/15) you get how many a (1/15) increase would be if you multiply 308 times (16/15) you get how many a (1/15) increase would be plus the original 308 the opposite happens when you divide (a decrease, like in this problem) 308/(16/15) = 328.5333436

So there were 328?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, rounding i guess it would be 329... but i dont know how you would have half a person so... either
