i dont understand how meso compounds do not have enatiomers... please explain

Meso compounds have a plane of symmetry meaning if you take a mirror image of a meso compound instead of getting a non superimbosable structure you would get the same structure as before. So It does not have enantiomers. Eg., Take a plain round ball. Take a mirror image you'll find that its mirror image is the same as the ball itself. Meso compounds are something similar.

|dw:1328859346882:dw| The two compounds are actually the same compound just being looked at from a different angle. You see the second compound from bottom and you'll end up with the first compound.
