GEOMETRY HELP! Given: segment AB is parallel to segment RS If CR = 4, RA = 6, and RS = 10, find AB.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i think that should be BR not CR?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where did CR come from?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry! here's the correct wording for the problem: If CR = 2, RA = 3, and BC = 10, find CS

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

where is point c???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's a similar triangle problem. point C is at the bottom. I guess you'd have to see the actual picture. can I attach the picture on here?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

thatll help

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

so CA = 10...first you need to know is AB is directly proportional to RS try to get this: 4:10=10:x 100 = 4x x = 25 AB = 25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Um, okay. I'm kind of lost. I see how you got AB = 25, but how does CA = 10? I thought BC = 10?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

CR = 4 RA = 6 CA = 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, whoops. Okay, I'm with you now!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so whats the answer exactly
