Which of the following lists all the integer solutions of the inequality |x| < 3?

OpenStudy (aroub):

Where is the 'lists' ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. –2, 0, 2 B. 0, 1, 2 C. –2, –1, 0, 1, 2 D. 0, 1, 2, 3

OpenStudy (aroub):

B. 0, 1, 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks! :)

OpenStudy (aroub):

You're welcome!

OpenStudy (nenadmatematika):

I think you're wrong \[\left| x \right|<3\] so \[-3<x<3\] and so the answer is C?

OpenStudy (aroub):

Can the absolute value be negative ?

OpenStudy (nenadmatematika):

absolute value is always positive, so abs(-2)=2<3 , abs(-1)=1<3 so -2 and -1 are also solutions of this inequality....

OpenStudy (aroub):

Yes, you're right! it's C.
