Can anyone help me, how do you pronounce "Nixor"? I have been pronouncing it as "Nik-zor"
Until yesterday, when one of my friend pronounced it as "Nik-sar", I'm really perplexed.

She pronounced it as "Nik-sar", (rhyme it with Mixer).

You're both correct. Different people say things differently. For example: The word principal... do you say princiPAL? Or, do you say principle. I say the latter, when I mean the former. But people understand.
So, when your friend says nix-er, she is just not enunciating the "nor."
