True, because the dimensions tell you what someone is talking about. So, if they are the same you are talking about the same thing. For example ft, is 1 dim. while area ft2 is two dimensions, and volume ft3 is three dimensions. I can use dimensions only, and you'd know exactly what I was talking about.
