OpenStudy (liizzyliizz):

Can someone clarify Instantaneous rate of change? Please :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is also denoted as dy/dx

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the rate of change that occurs at an instant point in time as opposed to an average over an interval

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i.e derivative of their function ...........

OpenStudy (liizzyliizz):

Oh well that makes things much easier O.o I can handle derivatives ;D

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the average rate of change is measured over an interval; (end-finish)/2 the instant rate of change at any given point is how fast its changeing at that moment

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\Delta r = instantaneous change/\Delta t\]

OpenStudy (amistre64):

end-start ....
