Where did your original cell come from?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An oocyte (maternal) fuses with a spermatocyte (paternal) creating a cygote, the very first cell of a human. As far as i know, the spermatocyte only contributes its haploid genome to the oocyte; so one could say, that your original cell is your mother's oocyte.

A zygote is when an oocyte fuses with a spermatocyte. That would be the orgional cell. It then becomes a blastula and then the cells differentiate into ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm.
