laws of corrosion and dissimmilar metals? hotter climates allow things to move faster at a molecular level and water or just acts as a better conducter than a lack of substance to conduct the energy required to weather. thats why we keep our old planes in a desert? soil could not be made without the degredation of organics and weathering helps in that decay, denaturalization process. by exposing more surface area to the soils surface and thereby allowing the soil to dry out at a faster rate, cutting down trees which lost the shielding effect to the winds that lifted the moisture and ultimately the soil, and by removing the cover of the soil (existing vegetation) in order to plant their new crops, which exposed the soil allowing it to dry out too. dont know how to conserve soil other than covering it and enriching it with water and nutrients?
