Given the area of the left piston is 4m2, what is the area of the right piston (under the 600-kg mass)? 5. If the area of the left piston (under the 20-kg mass) was doubled to 8m2, how would this affect the area of the right piston (under the 600-kg mass)? 3. What is the purpose of the hydraulic system? the transfer of energy from one point to another and being able to multiply that force found by manipulating the piston head size, more surface area means more energy can be absorbed?right piston would be 480 m? the area of the right piston would have to be increased to about 1920? in a trash compactor you would use an electric motor to compress a skinny piston in a skinny cylinder in order to push a larger ram piston in a wider cylinder a lesser distance but with greater force due to the surface area of the ram piston?
