(x)=x^2+6 and G(x)=x+8\x find (g o f) (-7) help pleaaaaase :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what is f(-7)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find (g o f) (-7)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

in order to find that, we first must find f(-7); what is f(-7)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-7)^2+6 ? and (-7)+8 / (-7)???

OpenStudy (amistre64):

(-7)^2 + 6 is all we need at first; since that is f(x) g(x) depends on the value of f(x) in this case so; would you agree that f(-7) = 55?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

(g o f)(x) means: g(f(x)) (g o f)(-7) means: g(f(-7)) IF f(-7) = 55; then we want: g(55)
